I am interested in traveling with AFRICA line, now what?
Please contact one of our adventure specialists about choosing a program or designing a tailored holiday that will suit your needs and fulfill your expectations! We are here to work with you personally and help you realize your travel dreams.
How do I book a trip with AFRICA line?
Once you are ready to confirm your program or tailored itinerary, we will provide you with a login password for access to our electronic booking forms. In order to secure your reservation, we require a deposit of 500 USD per person for Set Journeys or 15% of the total trip cost of a Tailored Holiday. Payment may be made in any convertible currency, but exchange rates must first be verified with us for anything other than US dollars. We gladly accept payment via direct wire transfer or credit card. Bank details and the credit card authorization form are provided together with the booking form. Forms are completed and submitted electronically for maximum security. Alternatively, we are happy to send forms as email attachments which you can return via facsimile.
When do I need to pay my trip in full?
After the initial deposit, your reservation is confirmed. The remainder of the payment is due no later than 90 calendar days prior to the first day of your trip, as scheduled. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for a more detailed account on booking, payment schedule, and cancellation policy.
What is included/excluded in the price?
This will vary to a certain degree between programs. In general, our quotations include all accommodation, meals, domestic transportation, permits, park fees, guide services, and activities as described in the itinerary. International airfare, visa fees, airport taxes, immunizations, travel insurance, guide tips, and personal items are not included in the program cost.
Can I join a Set Journey if I am traveling with children?
AFRICA line gladly welcomes families to join our scheduled programs, though we cannot allow children under the age of five, and certain journeys have a higher limit due to activity restrictions (such as gorilla tracking). We kindly ask that you carefully review the details of any itinerary to ensure that it meets the needs of each member in your family, which will help us maximize enjoyment for all trip participants! Discounts for young children sharing a room with parents may apply, please contact us for more information. Of course we are always happy to arrange an individual itinerary to fit your family’s vision of the ultimate holiday.
What are my options if I am traveling alone?
We believe that one of the greatest assets of our Set Journeys is that they are an ideal option for single venturers to enjoy the benefits of small group travel. As indicated in program itineraries, we do require a single supplement for anybody occupying a single room. We are happy to organize roommate pairing for single travelers of the same gender—just let us know if you are interested in this option! We cannot, however, guarantee a pairing, and we reserve the right to charge a single supplement in such cases when a roommate cannot be arranged.
